The 30th anniversary show was Saturday, September 20th in Atlanta.  It was lots of fun and a spectacular show!  I ate a bit, and drank lots of wine.  I also danced my ass off when Keith Sweat performed.   I was dressed in an Oscar de la Renta knock-off of black lace with fake rhinestone jewelry.  My date was a my good friend Alvin Munson, and he was stunningly handsome in his tuxedo.  He was the best dressed man there next to Ludacris.  Several people there were familiar with Boney M which was a surpise to me.  I plan to attend next year’s festivities if the Universe will allow it.

Pray for rain?  How about praying to release the blinders from the eyes, and the wax out of the ears.

At this time 7 years ago, I lived in Playa Honda, Lanzarote, and Hiniginimar, Fuerteventura, Islas Canarias, Spain.  I cried and was stunned, shocked and appalled that these planes were hijacked on the same day at the same time! That makes no sense to me!  USA is supposed to be more diligent than that.  How could this happen in a country where the Armed Forces pride themselves on readiness?  It smelled like a staged attack.  The feelings that hovered over me that day were incredible like psychic attacks.  I could only pray for the people involved and the people responsible for such an act.  How can these people sleep at night after what they have done?  Who’s to say they won’t do it again?  Incidently, I had a friend that worked on the 103rd floor and played hooky that day.  He hated that job and just decided to stay home and play on the internet.  The other friend lived in the area and had to run through the streets naked with her cat in tow.

Ha!  The McCain camp manipulated the media.  They knew exactly what would cause controversy and elected to appoint Governor Palin as McCain’s running mate anyway.  The McCain camp needs this shot-in-the-arm after a thriling Democractic convention.

We hold these truths that all women are equal and endowed with certain rights!  It is a woman’s job to bare, nurture, and raise children;  yours, ours, anyone’s!  Men just plant seeds, make the money, etc.  Many have had to learn how to be fathers.  The world crumbled when women had to leave the house to go to work.  Yes, we adhere to a double standard.  Men should not be asked how much time they spend with their children especially Rudy Giuliani.  He is the biggest seed planter of all!  They don’t spend the time like women do and never will.  Of course there are some exceptions to the rule, but women generally do everything in the house.  What on earth do we need heterosexual men for?  They are too much trouble!  Gay men are the answer to being good fathers.

I am an advocate for Down and have given my time and money to help children in Malaysia for the International Kiwanis Club.  How can a mother think she can’t handle a child with special needs?  I was a little upset that Mrs. Palin chose to hide her pregnancy.  She hid it because she probably contemplated abortion, but thought of the consequences and effect it would have on her campaign.   I like Sarah Palin, but one ever knows what karma one will have to face regarding ourselves, our children, husbands, etc.  If every mother faced with giving birth to children with special needs felt that she could not handle it, these children would be tossed aside.  Julie Newmar is the perfect mother for children with Down.  I also met a family in Fuerteventura that loved their son and constantly praised him for any effort he made to be happy.  There are some good parents of Down children out there.  I hope holding the Palin child was not just a show;  I pray it was real, I pray for Mrs. Palin to show these people just how powerful women really are.  I pray she will develope more compassion, just as we saw her young daughter display toward her baby brother.  We are Superwomen!

I’m tempted to vote Republican just for Sarah Palin’s eyelashes!  Imagine this lovely lady taking her hair down, glasses off.  WOW!  She is by far the prettiest thing out there.  Much prettier than Cindy McCain.  Cindy is very stylish and more fashionable than Michelle Obama.
