Diary of a Mad Boney

There was a 2-hour special airing on German TV about Boney M., the line-up that posed for all the hits. Everyone’s talking about how fat Liz is, how terrible Bobby looks, how big Marcia is, and how Maizie is the only one that kept her weight down, but needs a face lift. In my opinion, they should all get back together. These group of people think they are so talented and smart that they can each have a chance at a successful solo career. I think the passage of time has let them know they are nothing without Frank Farian. Frank and his cronies know that this is true. I pray and hope for the sake of them all, that they change their way of thinking, get back together, and try to make hits. Without Boney M, Frank is nothing. Without Frank, Liz, Marcia, Maizie, and Bobby would have never had a music career. Neither of them can tell you what a dotted eighth note means in simple 4/4 time. Luck be a lady tonight!

What a guy!  I met Ed Bradley many years ago in club Peter Brown, upper west side NYC.  I was with Glenda Gracia, Marcia Duval,  Ashton Wall, Debbie Moore and Diana Zeigler.  We had a ball!  Ed and I shared many stories about the world and traveling, along with his encouragement to do my own thing in jazz.   I thank the world for Ed Bradley, and wish there were many more men like him.  Thanks Ed!

Well I didn’t lie, I just wasn’t sure at the time.  I’m speaking of doing Boney M tunes, which I said I will never do again.  I don’t plan to record any of the tunes, but I have included several in my live show.  Now you may ask yourself, hasn’t she crossed over to jazz?  Yes, I have crossed over, and have arranged some Boney M tunes into jazz and will do them in my live show.  Can you imagine that?

It’s Xmas!  Not that I celebrate or get caught up in the moment, but I certainly want to wish everyone a wonderful new year 2007!  This will be my best year ever!
